The Next “Night of Karabakh” Charity Concert Held at the Initiative of the Karabakh Revival Fund
On July 8, 2025, the next “Night of Karabakh” charity concert was held at the initiative and organization of the Karabakh Revival Fund, with the organizational support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev.
It should be noted that the concert, now held for the fifth time, was made possible with the sponsorship of the “Tamstore” supermarket chain, “Azərlotereya” OJSC, and “Huner Group” company, as well as the media support of “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” CJSC and the State Agency for Advertisement of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by government officials, representatives of donor companies and partners of the Fund who have supported the restoration efforts in the liberated territories through donations to the Karabakh Revival Fund, and prominent figures from the fields of culture and arts.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, highlighted the main goal of the concert and emphasized that the funds raised would contribute to the restoration initiatives in Karabakh:
“As you know, following the historic victory achieved by our heroic Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, our liberated homeland of Karabakh has entered a new phase—restoration, revival, and development. In this process, the unification of efforts by the state, business sector, and society, and the demonstration of solidarity in rebuilding the liberated territories, are of vital importance. In this context, the Karabakh Revival Fund—established by a Presidential Decree—has launched various initiatives and projects to attract donations for Karabakh’s revival, to encourage active participation in this cause, and to promote a conscious and purposeful approach among individuals. The ‘Night of Karabakh’ charity concert is one such initiative.”
Rahman Hajiyev expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the realization of "Night of Karabakh"—both those who contributed to organizing the event and those who purchased tickets to aid the reconstruction of the liberated territories.
The event continued with an artistic program. World-renowned tenor and People’s Artist Yusif Eyvazov, Honored Artist Afaq Abbasova, and soloists Mahir Taghizade and Aytaj Shikhalizade performed pieces from operas by prominent international and local composers, offering guests a truly memorable musical experience. The concert was accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and conducted by Mustafa Mehmandarov.
After the artistic performance, the evening continued with an official reception. During the reception, the Fund presented special plaques and certificates of appreciation to the partners, donors, and performers who supported the realization of the concert and demonstrated solidarity with the Fund’s mission.
It should be noted that during the concert, two photo exhibitions were also organized in the foyer of the Philharmonic Hall: “Urbicide in Karabakh”, showcasing the destruction caused by Armenians in the occupied territories, and “From Tragedy to Triumph”, highlighting the ongoing reconstruction and restoration efforts in those areas.
It is worth recalling that until now, four similar concerts have been held: two in Baku (2022 and 2024), one in Ganja (2023), and one in Shusha (2024).
Nearly 400,000 AZN raised from the concerts held between 2021 and 2024 was directed toward the restoration and reconstruction of cultural heritage sites in the liberated territories, including the Imarat Complex of Panah Ali Khan in Aghdam, and the purchase of a grand concert piano by Yamaha for the city of Shusha.
More than 73,000 AZN raised from this year’s concert will be allocated to the creation of Occupation and Victory Museum Complexes in the liberated territories. These projects aim to commemorate the glorious Victory achieved in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and to honor the cherished memory of our martyrs.
